Dancers must be over age 10, have previous dance training, attend clinic each day, and be available for team intensives after placement.

5-6 classes/week $160-175/month

Junior Team

Required classes include Ballet Technique, Ballet Rehearsal, Junior Jazz, Junior Contemporary, Junior Hip Hop, and Junior Technique.

6 classes/week $175/month

Senior Team

Required classes include Ballet Technique, Ballet Rehearsal, Senior Jazz, Senior Contemporary, Senior Hip Hop, and Senior Technique. Premier/Senior Musical Theater is optional.

7 classes/week $190/month

Premier Team

Required classes include Ballet Technique, Ballet Rehearsal, Premier Jazz, Premier Contemporary, Premier Hip Hop, Premier/Senior Musical Theater, and Premier Technique.

The audition requirements are simple: dancers should be over 10 and have previous dance training. Families can use the inquiry form to ask questions before clinic week.

Will every dancer who auditions be invited to a team?

Yes. The packet states that every dancer who auditions for a competition team will be invited to join a team.

What are the attendance expectations?

Competition team is a significant commitment. Absences need to be cleared with Emma in advance. Dancers are allowed 3 excused absences Aug-Dec and 2 excused absences Jan-May, followed by a February blackout period when weekly attendance is expected.

How many competitions are included?

Encore competes at three competitions each season: two local competitions and one in St. George. Competitions will happen in March, April, and May once dates are released.

Are solos, duos, and trios available?

Yes. All competition dancers are eligible to compete with a solo, duo, or trio. Families choose the style and select a choreographer from Encore’s qualified teachers.

What is the base monthly tuition?

Junior Team base tuition is $160-175/month for 5-6 classes per week. Senior Team is $175/month for 6 classes per week. Premier Team is $190/month for 7 classes per week.

What additional fees should families plan for?

Competition dancers have a $35 registration fee, costume fees, a $70 makeup/hair/earring package, $165 warm ups, competition fees, and a $50 concert fee. Due dates and totals vary by team.

What if I can't make auditions?

If your dancer is unable to attend the scheduled audition clinic, please contact Encore as soon as possible. In certain cases, a private audition may be arranged at a later date.
